Chateau Climens is one of a few estates that produces its sweet wine from 100% Semillon
A vintage with mixed weather saved by a dry September resulted in inconsistency with the wines
but the Cote de Nuits managed to avoid the hail so giving a healthy crop of grapes to work with
Paris and was marked higher than many of the worlds great Cabernet Sauvignons
although the wines had a hard edge compared to the other great vintages of the 1950's
The 2013 vintage was another where the growing season suited late harvest wines such as this
blackcurrant acid (not as much as the 76’) with dusty but quite seamless tannins
