Robert Parker wrote of this wine "the 1962 has always been a fine Haut Brion". Typical blend, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc. 75cl bottle. Abv% not stated. Bottle condition, capsule a little corrosion, label bin soiled, wine level half way up emblem.

Chateau Latour is known for its powerful wines

Most houses concentrated on non vintage blends

They produce one of the great dry white wines of the Pessac-Leognan region of Bordeaux

The vines themselves are situated between 1275 and 1500 meters adding cool sea breezes to the sunshine

1953 was an excellent vintage for the region and is now becoming quite rare

but some sun during the first week of the harvest improved the situation a little
