The ink well remains in a wholly original condition with ink remnants remaining in the glass bottle. The lid is opened by a concealed push button to the front of the well. The push button mechanism operates with ease. Internally the inkwell boasts lovely art nouveau scroll decoration. The glass bottle is accessed by pushing back a clip to the right
