Inside The Deep Woods susnetWhite birch, also known as paper birch for their shaggy bark, glow in the deep woods of Northern Vermont during fall. I love late autumn when the canopy of leaves begins to fall and colors change closer to the ground not to the crimson shades so often seen above but to softer hues of yellow. This mountainside near Hazen's Notch is one of my favorite places, and I visit it each autumn when I return to Vermont. It's featured here as a true 2: 1 panorama
