Chateau Siran Vintage 1955 GiftsChateau Siran was once owned by the Great Grandmother of Toulouse Lautrec, it has been owed by the Maillie family since 1859. The 1955 vintage was one of the best of the decade. Typical blend Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot. 75cl bootle. Abv not stated. Bottle condition, capsule good, label bin soiled, wine level very top shoulder.

The palate shows really good richness and intensity which makes it difficult to believe this wine is thirty years old

Critic tasting note:

a little resin

The 2010 vintage was exceptional for the region

It was directly associated with bringing international recognition to the California wine industry through the 1976 Judgment of Paris

Heitz Wine Cellar is an iconic Napa wine producer located just south of St Helena

The 2014 vintage was very good for the region

the mouthfeel is surprisingly sweet and silky with velvety tannins (a rarity for Montrose)

the vineyard was not fully maintained

Whilst 1993 wasn't a great vintage Ive found the wines have turned out better than expected
