It began with the familiar Ghazali base then veered into darker territory with musks that growled more than purred. To soften their edge I wove in threads of powdery Rice sweet Hay Carob and the earthy whisper of Black Truffletempering the beast with a velvet veil.

This particular curated attar uses just two materials: Saffron and Oud

A touch of Sultani Shamama sealed the composition with vintage character

The tartness of green apple is softened by creamy ylang-ylang and sweet Nigella flower resting on a base of oakmoss and ouds mainly Borneo

Since the labels had already been produced

I decided to reserve part of the batch for a different take—an Oceanic Chypre

and citrus

It probably reflects my own fascination with extensibility and modularity… or maybe it’s just the software-programmer in me thinking in terms of packaging releases
