Potter's rib stainless steel forge hookCraft flawless ceramic forms with ease. This adaptable tool glides along your pottery, allowing you to create smooth, consistent curves for bowls, plates, and any design with rounded geometries. Bring your artistic vision to life with precision and control. This rib is made by me, Kevin, in my little blacksmith shop. This is made from 16 gauge (1. 2mm) thick stainless steel, same stainless steel used in kitchens). This is not your thin flimsy rib.
The head is also only beveled on one side to leave a nice clean cut and not leave a v groove like others might
Finished with linseed oil
Finished with a beeswax finish to help prevent rusting
This hair pin features the D20 on both side which is laser engraved into the steel
Height: 3 1/2 inches
The knife is specially designed for woodworkers and carpenters
and is 24" long
Forged out of 11 gauge (~1/8") thick steel
The stand is made from a round chunk of steel that had been squeezed in my forging press to create a slight almost apple shape affect
The scribe is buffed with a wire wheel for a smooth finish
The result is a one-of-a-kind marking tool that not only performs exceptionally well but also makes a beautiful addition to your tool collection
One end is looped to form a shepherd's crook and given a simple twist to add a touch of personality
